8TH SEPTEMBER 2019 THE TWELFTH SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY

 

We are delighted to welcome any visitors or newcomers. We are particularly pleased to welcome Mr Nick Sharp, Head-teacher of Bishop Tufnell Primary School, a Church Aided School, with which we and St Mary’s, Felpham have had links for more than a century. Mr Sharp will speak about both the life and work of the School, and also the support that local Churches and the School can each give to the other. Being the first Sunday within the new School Year, today is traditionally designated as Education Sunday.

This week, we are praying for the residents of The Layne.

Next week we shall be praying for the residents of Arundel Way, Farm Close, and Norfolk Way, with the information leaflet’s being delivered in the preceding days.

SUNDAY 29th SEPTEMBER  HARVEST FESTIVAL

8.00/10.00 a.m. Services, celebrating God’s goodness to us in Creation, and remembering those in need. You might like to being tinned/dried food for local people in need.

 

SUNDAY 6th OCTOBER

8.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. Services (NO 10.00 a.m. Service). The 5.00 p.m. Service will be a Celebration Service, with a Slides’ Presentation about the St Nicholas Orphanage in Kenya, with which we are linked. The Venerable Lionel Whatley, and others who have visited the Orphanage, will be joining us. There will be light Refreshments half way through the Service.

 

SUNDAY 13th OCTOBER

The 10.00 a.m. Service will be a Pets’ Service. Janet Laws will be speaking about the Cat and Rabbit Rescue Centre in Sidlesham. You are welcome to bring a cat, rabbit, or other animal, for a Blessing, or to light a candle in memory of a loved pet.

 

As you can see, there are a number of special occasions coming up. Can you think of anyone whom you might encourage to join us?

 

DONATIONS TOWARDS CHURCH FLOWERS are always welcome, in memory of a loved one, or to mark a special occasion or anniversary. Please speak to Fr William.
