6th OCTOBER 2019  SIXTEENTH SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY

 

A warm welcome to our visitors and any newcomers.

 

8.00 a.m. Holy Communion (“The Book of Common Prayer”)

Habakkuk 1.1-4, 2.1-4   2 Timothy 1.1-14   Luke 17.5-10.

 

(NO 10.00 a.m. Service).

 

5.00 p.m. Celebration Service,with a Slides’ Presentation about the St Nicholas Orphanage in Kenya, with which we are linked. The Venerable Lionel Whatley, and others who have visited the Orphanage, will be joining us.

 

There will be light Refreshments half way through the Service.

Fr William will provide cheese/biscuits/butter/crisps. If you can provide an item, please sign up on the list in the Church Entrance Area: sandwiches/scones/cake/biscuits etc. Even if you cannot come to the Service, any item would be gratefully received. If appropriate, it could be put into the fridge in the kitchen.

 

This week, we are praying for the residents of  Alleyne Way, and Stablefield. Next week we shall be praying for the residents of Elm Drive, with the information leaflet’s being delivered in the preceding days.

 

Please pray for those who are unwell, and their loved ones: Pam Haybittle, Anne and John, David Pringle,Yasmin Roper, Fr Don Silcock, Charles Taylor. Please pray for those who have died recently, and their loved ones: Andree Desterbecq, Leslie Izzard, Jenni Leslie, William LeFort.

10.00 a.m. Holy Communion (Sung)

 

The 10.00 a.m. Service will be a Pets’ Service. Janet Laws will be speaking about the Cat and Rabbit Rescue Centre in Sidlesham. You are welcome to bring a cat, rabbit, or other animal, for a Blessing, or to light a candle in memory of a loved pet.

 

SUNDAY 3rd NOVEMBER    ALL SAINTS’/ALL SOULS’

If you would like a loved one, who has passed away recently or in the more distant past, to be remembered in the prayers, please put his, or her, name in CAPITAL LETTERS on one of the sheets in the Church Entrance Area, indicating at which of the two Services you would like him, or her, to be prayed for.

 

SUNDAY 10th NOVEMBER   REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY

After the 10.00 a.m. Service has ended, there will be a short interval before the Act of Remembrance at 10.58 a.m.

SATURDAY 16th NOVEMBER  11.00 a.m.-2.00 p.m. Christmas Fayre. Offers to Fr William of help would be much appreciated, especially in running the “Christmas Presents” stall. Have you any items for the “Christmas Presents” stall, or for the Silent Auction, please? Fr Christmas will be joining us!

 

MANY THANKS to those who donated food at Harvest for those in need locally.

 

DONATIONS TOWARDS CHURCH FLOWERS are always welcome, in memory of a loved one, or to mark a special occasion or anniversary. Please speak to Fr William.
