Dear Parishioner ,
I hope that, despite every thing, you were able to find some peace and comfort at Christmas and over New Year. This is a short letter, as I want to say that our Church will remain open for Public Worship and Private Prayer. Public Worship will continue to be on Sundays at 8.00 and 10.00 a.m., and on Wednesdays at 8.00 a.m., and Thursdays at 10.00 a.m., and also stewarded for Private Prayer on Tuesdays to Fridays 10.30 to 11.30 a.m.
If things change, I’ll contact you again immediately.
Please feel free either to come to Church for Worship and/or Private Prayer, or to decide to leave it for a while. In Public Worship, we shall continue, with affection and love, to remember, and pray for, those who are not able to be with us.
I am leaving up one Christmas Tree until the end of the Season of Christmas (2nd February), as a sign of hope and joy.
Incidentally, this morning I saw in a garden the first shoots of what I think are daffodils. We all look forward to Spring, and the new life of both nature, and also of Easter, with the new life of the risen Lord.
As ever, do please contact me at any time, whether to say a prayer with me, to discuss a serious matter, or just to have a chat, especially if you are feeling worried or lonely.
With my good wishes and prayers,
